Night Life

I had to take the dog outside
just before bedtime last night
and the moonlight illuminated
this spider web sprawling across
the arbor. I came in and got the
camera to "capture" the details.
In the darkness, the exact shape
of the web and spider was im-
possible to discern. That's part
of the fun of a zoom lens...
discovering details I would
otherwise miss.

 I don't like spiders.
But I do like the wonder
they stimulate as I think
of how my God designed them
to do what they do.

A Song

Though I don't understand "why" or "how"... I do know "Who" and He gives peace.

Yielding

"And God said, Let the earth bring forth grass, the herb
yielding seed,
and the fruit tree yielding fruit
after his kind, whose seed
is in itself,
upon the earth: and it was so."
Genesis 1:11

I planted one Crinum Lily several years ago. Now I have this nice clump of them, and they just continue to flourish and multiply.

Stillness

Sometimes
we need to
take time
to be still
and know
that He is
GOD and
He has all things in
control.

"In quietness and confidence shall be your strength."

Isaiah 30:15

Is Anything Too Hard For God?

"Is anything too hard for God?
Who's got a problem beyond His power to solve?
Are there situations He's not the Master of?
Is anything too hard for God?"

Not so sure why this tune was playing over and over in my head while I worked outside...
but I'm glad it was Thankful for God's grace and encouragement though I'm so undeserving.

Bow Ties

Got busy and made a few bow ties for a baby shower gift!
So fun!  And it's a great use for my fabric scraps!

Fading vs. Forever

This Daylily bloom only lasts for one day.
It opens in morning and closes in afternoon, never to open again.
The next day there may be another opened bloom on the same stalk.
A perfect example of how fleeting life really is...here today, gone tomorrow.
But God never changes. His Word remains the same. Everlasting. Eternal.

Photo Quilt

Two quilts in a day! Well, photo quilts, that is :-) Only an illusion.

I just love the leaves of the cannas...the different hues of green, and all the pretty patterns of veins throughout!

So I took a few pictures, downloaded
to my computer,
uploaded into
picmonkey.com...

Just experimented to see what
I could come up with, and I
really like these designs!

Informality

I first found this book in my local library many years ago.
Immediately, it became a favorite...for several reasons.

Because I have always loved the country, and especially if it is colored in flowers!
Because finding unexpected treasures in everyday life is one of my favorite things to do!
Because the lady of the book could almost be a twin to my sweet grandmother, in size and style!
Because this beauty provides the perfect place to relax away from anything and everything stressful!

Picture-perfect informality, thrilling this gardener's heart!
