Egg Shells...Repurposed!

While reading up on gardening, I've lately come across several sources
which say eggshells are a great source of calcium for the garden! Who knew?
So now I'm saving the egg shells, baking for about 10 minutes when I heat
the oven to bake my cake or casserole or whatever. Then I toss them in the
food processor to pulverize them, and store in a jar. I plan to sprinkle them
around my tomato and pepper plants and even add some to my houseplants.
Also, I'm hearing that crushed eggshells make a good pest deterrent in the
garden as the slugs and bugs don't enjoy walking on the sharp bits of shell.
