I used this chair last year
to support my thriving
Asiatic Lilies. Loved it!!!

Now they're getting ready
for another show of beauty.

It is so rewarding to watch
these plants multiply year
after year.

Not everything does so well.

The beautiful Bluebonnets I
had last year did not return.
Not one of them. I have no
clue why unless it's because
the seeds were GMO

GMO seeds do not re-seed,
or come back the next
year as God intended.
They require you to buy
new seed.  Not good.

Learning About His World

He likes to explore...touching everything, finding what's prickly and what's soft.
He's learning so much about the world around him.

Clockwise from upper left corner:
Poking a stick in the ground,
checking out the Shrimp Plants,
hitting the Bridal Bush to make it "snow" the tiny white flowers,
examining the Amaryllis,
squeezing the Foxtail Fern,
looking at the new leaves overhead,
tasting the Kale,
and crushing eggshells.
He loved it all.

I didn't get a picture of him chasing the chickens...he wanted to pet them.
It was about that time that I ran inside and grabbed the camera :-)

Worth Waiting For

These sweet little violet plants intrigue me. I know my aunt used to have them lined up on her window sill, and she easily propagated them. I haven't mastered the art, but am not ready to call it quits yet. I believe they are worth waiting for.
