Spring Greens

Collards, Kale, Turnip Greens, and Cabbage...

The baby collards are yummy fresh out of the garden, but I haven't figured how to enjoy them after they get bigger. I have been putting kale in the blender and then pouring into ice trays to freeze. We then transfer them to a zip-lock bag for my husband to add to smoothies. I also eat some of the baby kale raw. Turnips and turnip greens I cook (adding bacon grease, onion, salt & a bit of sugar) and serve w/ hot cornbread. And the cabbage isn't ready to pick yet, but I plan to saute it w/ some onion and sausage links...
that's the way I like it!

We're still learning this gardening bit. Developing tastes. Trying new things.
