Raisin Gingerbread



1/2 c. sugar,  1 cup molasses,  1 stick butter,  1 egg
1  1/2 tsp. baking soda,  1 tsp. baking powder,  1/2 tsp. salt
2 tsp. cinnamon,  2 tsp. ginger,  1 c. hot water
2  1/2 c. all purpose flour,  1  1/2 c. raisins


Mix all ingredients together well. Bake in a greased 9 X 13 pan @ 350 
for about 30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.  

This gingerbread smells soooo good, is not overly sweet, 
and is just right with a glass of cold milk (in my opinion).  :-)
